Whether you were sitting at home watching Rachel choose between Brian and Peter (she totally settled, girl just wanted a ring!) or trying to pick which of the lovely men– or not so lovely men (ahem, Waboom and his arch nemesis Blake E) would be seen on the new season of bachelor in paradise; most fans were essentially counting down the days for the dragging season of the Bachelorette to be over.
Prior to the season starting or when we thought it wouldn’t start at all, rumors circled regarding what really took place between Corinne and DeMario. The audience was led to believe that production was canceled, the show could not go on, and that the cast and crew had taken things too far the first night. We witnessed people slut shame Corrine and tear DeMario’s reputation to shreds. Castmates defended Demario’s name and explained that everything in the media was fake news, and should be ignored.

Now to talk about the couples everyone’s been all over this season…
Taylor and Derek:

Taylor and Derek have been the “IT” couple since day 1 of BIP (Bachelor in Paradise) despite Taylor’s obsession with emotional intelligence, it seems to be that these two will make a break to life after reality television. Even if Derek occasionally seems to be annoyed by Taylor’s presence and chooses to express himself with an interesting choice of words that highly offend Taylor. If you watched Monday’s episode, you know what I mean. Was it just me or that “I really care about you” line from last episode really awkward? THROW OUT THE I LOVE YOU’S ALREADY! Isn’t that what this show is all about? Rushing to the “I love you” part way faster than expected. Maybe that’s why these two will make it?
Kristina & Dean:

After seeing Dean on Rachel’s season and Kristina on Nick’s season, it just seemed fitting that these two would create some sort of magic after their heartbreaks. It was off to a great start, the couple was perfect, and they even took a trip together to Kentucky once production was shut down. Dean and Kristina were set to be a solid couple throughout the season. However, when production returned and other women slithered into paradise, (Danielle L, I’m coming for you, honey) this relationship took a turn for the worst. Dean, sweetie, what are you doing?! He returned from his date with Danielle L and told Kristina he missed her. When she thought things were going back to normal and everything would be okay, Dean decided to celebrate Danielle L’s half birthday and leave Kristina crushed. At this point, fans are becoming quite annoyed at Dean’s lack of consistency, but above all things, fans are beginning to realize that Kristina deserves much better–even if she isn’t the “hotter choice” according to Dean.
Danielle M & Wells:

Wells was a surprise no one saw coming. Danielle M, Wells, and that kiss… Definitely something anyone who loves love and loves these two wanted to see! I’m not so sure we’ll be seeing much of this couple after BIP comes to an end. Wells made comments when the cast sat down with host Chris Harrison that made it seem like the two were not currently involved. Despite his remarks, Instagram pictures lead us to believe otherwise.
Matt and Jasmine:

Matt and Jasmine are truly the most talked about couple this season. The drama was real on this weeks episode, basically surrounding the very short lived love triangle consisting of Christen, Jasmine, and Matt. Audiences experienced first hand that Jasmine would probably choke you out if you ever crossed her, and that Matt was probably scared for his life, leading him to remove himself from the island. Jasmine is clearly in need of some relaxing yoga.
Overall, this season of Bachelor in Paradise has been quite the rollercoaster of emotions, and has set fans on a mission of deciphering one love triangle at a time. Don’t forget to tune in tonight on ABC @ 8 for a new episode of Bachelor in Paradise!
