This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at FIU chapter.

Age: 20

Major: Sports and Fitness

Hobbies:
Playing basketball as well as being a basketball trainer, hanging out with my brothers, working for Next Level Basketball and my company Chauffeured Nights.

What organizations are you involved in on campus?
“I am a brother of Tau Kappa Epsilon, I helped start a new organization on campus called the Armenian American Student Organization (AASO). Lastly, in the spring semester I won Alpha Chi Omega’s first annual Omega Man pageant and raised over $1,000 with the help of my brothers for Alpha Chi Omega’s philanthropy; domestic violence awareness.”

What made you want to be a part of these organizations?
“I wanted to be a member of Greek life for multiple reasons; to be able to play sports, build connections, and become more involved on campus. I chose TKE because I related with the brothers and they were humble which was really important for me, I also felt I could make a big impact and help take them to the top. The organization I started with a few other Armenian students at FIU was to give the community a better understanding of our culture and also to be able to connect with other Armenian students at FIU.”

What has been your most memorable moment at FIU?
“Well, I have many memorable moments at FIU, one of them was when I won the TKE Scholarship as a freshman, helping my organization with our philanthropy week last year where we raised over $10,000 during our pageant Apollo’s Goddess and the donations went to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Last but not least winning Omega Man, but more importantly running for it and being able to put together events for domestic violence awareness and raising as much money as we did for such a good philanthropy.”

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
“My priority is to be successful in whichever field I choose to end up in. I also consider myself an entrepreneur and I’m always involved in different ventures. I would also love for my company Chauffeured Nights to be recognized nationally. Besides the career portion of my life, I just want to be happy and let faith determine the rest.”

What advice would you give to fellow students?
“Make the most of your time at FIU and always remember, “The only person stopping you from what you want to achieve is yourself.””
