When most people think of Broadway they think of bright lights, shiny costumes and New York City! If seeing a real, Broadway Musical is one of your dreams but visiting New York isn’t in your budget, your dreams can now be a reality! Many of the same shows being performed on Broadway in New York City are making their way to South Florida in areas like Miami and Fort Lauderdale. Going to see a musical can be a great weekend event; it’s something different from going to the mall or grabbing lunch with a friend. Seeing a musical is something you can do with a group of friends (grab dinner before the show and dessert afterwards for extra fun!) or alone. Tickets for a show can also be a good gift idea for someone who you know loves theater! Here are a few shows being performed at the Adrienne Arsht Center as well as the Broward Center for the Performing Arts:
