A Good Addiction- Snow Sports Season

It is officially November 1st, marking the start of the Snow Sports Season. During the month of November, many resorts across the US have opened its doors for the wonderful thrill of snow-sports. If you are from Florida, experiencing the slopes for the first time can be an out of this world experience. Just imagine yourself at the very top of that mountain, ready to shred your way down. The excitement, the speed, the fear, all coming together to create this blissful feeling of freedom. When the cold air hits your face, or you have to zigzag your way down in order to avoid crashing into beginners; this is what you have been waiting for all year.

Snow Sports can be considered a good addiction. A great writer once said “a skier or snowboarder looks forward to a snow holiday in the mountains with the same desperation as a beach bum looks forward to a summer holiday by the beach”, which is ironic considering that I live in Florida. However, having experienced the enjoyment of the slopes, I can agree with this statement that it can become quite addictive. Nevertheless, this addiction is like no other. You are out in open air on a beautiful day, enjoying your exercise by the mountains. Whatever your poison may be, skier or snowboarder, you will most likely want to continue to practice and become an expert. I have never really been one to participate in sports, but when it comes to snow-sports, I promise its worth a try!
