It’s no doubt that there are more than enough products to choose from in the sea of makeup and skincare, and things can get confusing when everything has similar names and seal of approvals, such as “Allure Award Winner” or “#1 Dermatologist recommended.” After years and years of buying different items in search of the perfect candidate, I can finally say I’ve found five trustworthy skincare and makeup products.

First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Tinted Moisturizer

After the formula of my prior long-term companion was changed, I had to go out on the lookout for a new tinted moisturizer. After trying samples upon samples, I encountered First Aid Beauty and its perfectly formulated Ultra Repair Tinted Moisturizer. The finish is dewy and natural, but not extremely sheer to the point where you start questioning if the $28 you spent on this was even worth it. It’s extremely buildable and easy to spread, which is perfect for on the go– not to mention the fact that it contains SPF 30.

Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer

I can’t begin to mention the endless amount of concealers I’ve tried out, and how most of them didn’t work out for my skin. The Nars Radiant Creamy concealer is the only one that has stood the test of time with its natural finish and medium coverage formulation. It is not dry as to cause creases, but at the same time it’s not so greasy as to move around on your skin.

Glossier Haloscope Highlighter

I have been using this stick highlighter for about 4 years now, and I’ll never switch to another highlighter. This Haloscope Highlighter gives the most natural, radiant pop to your skin ever imaginable. Unlike powder highlighters, you can’t tell that you’re wearing it, as this formula was made to melt within your skin and give off a fresh, straight out of the shower look.

Glossier Cloud Paint

This product was the first introduction I had to liquid blush, and I haven’t gone back to powder ever since. This product comes in eight different shades and delivers a beautiful and vibrant pigment that gives you the closest thing to a naturally flushed color.

Murad Rapid Relief Acne Spot Treatment

Even after years of swearing by this acne spot-treatment, I’m still amazed at how effective and reliable it is. Not only does it work with visible, ready-to-pop pimples, it also works with painful, cystic pimples that grown under the skin.
