Skincare is the most important self-care routine. According to the American Academy of Dermatology, the skin is the “largest and fastest growing organ” in the body. So, why not give it the best care it needs? With these basic skincare tips, your skin will not only be regularly moisturized, but remain silky smooth and glow effortlessly.

1. Exfoliating gloves

Exfoliating your skin on a regular basis stimulates cell reproduction that removes dead skin cells and produces newer, fresher skin. Therefore, the overall texture and tone of your skin will be more radiant and a lot smoother. Many experts say that regular exfoliating can have many benefits. According to LA dermatologist Dr. Howard Murad, “Dry skin brushing is one of the most effective exfoliating treatments for skin with cellulite.” In other words, if you have any unwanted cellulite on your body, ditch the rag and use a pair of exfoliating gloves instead. Publix, Target and Walmart tend to sell these in the skincare isle, but if you are looking for a better deal, Amazon is always the place to shop.

2. Oil

Anatomy and Physiology says that our bodies are made of 80% water. That means as soon as we dry off our bodies, we lose most of that moisture. To combat this, apply body oil onto your skin immediately after showering, mixing it in well with the water. This will seal in the moisture your skin needs to stay hydrated and glowing.
