I blame TikTok for my frustratingly limited attention span. It’s been years since I’ve been able to watch a show, season after season, and pay attention enough to appreciate it. However, my younger brother, who I was surprised had even watched a TV show full-through (he has an even worse attention span than me) had given me a recommendation. So I decided, why not? I had some free time at the motel I was staying at for a concert and decided to give the show a go. And when I tell you, I have never, NEVER in my life laughed out loud so much at a TV show.

That TV Show is called Tires.

I’ll admit, the first two episodes are a little slow, but after that, it’s comedy crack. It’s actually the first series I’ve ever watched where the two subsequent seasons top the first. But as far as the storyline goes, it’s a sitcom set at Valley Forge Automotive Center, an auto-repair business that two cousins, Shane (Shane Gillis) and Will (Steve Gerben) inherit from their dad. It’s up to them to grow the business and keep it from collapsing. It kinda reminds me of The Office, just 10x as hilarious. Wholesome, comical, and more addictive as each episode progresses, I binged the entire show within the span of a couple of days.

Shane Gillis and Steve Gerben create a golden dynamic as Shane is the overconfident, bold mechanic and Will is his hyper-paranoid, hyper-sensitive general manager. Also in the cast are Kilah (Kilah Fox), Thomas Haden Church (Phil), Stavros Halkias (Dave), and Chris O’Connor (Cal) (also who I have the fattest crush on) (also featured below).

The humor can be a bit raunchy and controversial for some, but in my opinion, that’s what makes Tires so refreshing. Boundaries don’t exist—every character says what comes to mind and each joke lands perfectly. The episodes are relatively short too so it makes for the perfect watch during meals or in between classes. So far, there have only been three seasons, but guess what… it just got renewed for Season 4!!!!

So, if you’re in desperate need of a new show—preferably one of the funniest you’ll ever see—watch Tires! Sometimes a little wholesome comedy is exactly what you need.
