Since we got the news that Taylor Swift not only rerecorded “Love Story”, but is releasing all of Fearless, I have been listening to Fearless on repeat. Like every other Swiftie, I have listened to Fearless for as long as I remember and truly loved it. Those songs are extremely relatable, but Fearless was released when I was only 8 years old. I was not able to listen to those songs on repeat in my car and truly feel what Taylor felt in those moments of writing and recording. Now that it is being rerecorded and released on April 9th, I can fully experience Fearless with a mature Taylor and lyrics that are relatable to adult me. Also, this album is dropping some new songs from the vault and has no connection to Scooter Braun, so what could be better?

Below, I am ranking the 12 songs on Fearless not including “Love Story” based on which I am most excited to hear after growing up, falling in love, experiencing heartbreak and so much more. I will also keep in mind which songs will be best to shout in my car or which will make me cry the most.

12. The Best Day

Personally I just do not connect to this song at all. It definitely is sentimental to some, just not myself.

11. Breathe

I cannot wait to hear her voice on this song. She will sound incredible hitting those high notes. I wonder if Colbie Caillat will be on it or if she is doing it solo.

10. Fifteen

“Fifteen” is one of my favorite songs that my friends and I definitely sang at 15 after our first breakups, but as a 20 year old I just find it nostalgic.

9. Hey Stephen

I mean “Hey Stephen” is a classic. This song is NEVER a skip.

8. White Horse

As I have gotten older I have grown an appreciation for “White Horse”. I cannot wait to sing “Begging for forgiveness, begging for me” on repeat. This song follows the process of her saying to a guy you’re not for me and her finally finding her worth at the end of the song. Any girl going through a breakup NEEDS this song.

7. You’re Not Sorry

Another breakup song. This just hits so hard. The bridge is musical genius. I cannot wait to blast this in my car driving through the suburbs.

6. Fearless

I vividly remember listening to this song on repeat as an 8 year old. This song just gives you butterflies of a date with someone you are actually excited about. “Fearless” is just VIBES.

5. Tell Me Why

I absolutely love how long the chorus of this song is. This song is definitely a song that makes me just feel empowered as a woman. I feel like Taylor has grown so much, yet this song’s theme is prevalent through all of her albums. It’s like baby Reputation Taylor.

4. Change

I have never skipped this song. It is just so powerful. The altered chorus just hits differently. I cannot wait to sing this song again and again in the shower with my comb microphone.

3. You Belong With Me

It is just a classic. Most iconic music video of all time. As we get older we relate to both Taylor and the girlfriend of the boy. Hearing this years later will be perfection.

2. Forever & Always

I listened to this song and this song only for the first two weeks after my breakup. I always scream cry this song and cannot wait for the rerecording to open my old wounds.

1. The Way I Loved You

We have all dated that person that seemed perfect that makes you miss the dysfunctionality of a previous relationship. I think this one of her best written songs and the bridge is lyrically unparalleled. I am most excited for this song and Tik Tok has proven that I am not the only one excited. I will guarantee that this song will be in my top 10 songs for Spotify Wrapped.
