Winter is almost officially here which means sequins season is nearly upon us. While there is no rule saying you can only wear sequins in the winter, they are a gorgeous way to stand out at your holiday parties (maybe not this year though). If you’re anything like me, you probably love the glitter and sparkle that a sequin dress provides, but are looking to find some ways to make sequins more casual.  Luckily for you, here are a few ways to style sequins this season without looking like a disco ball.

1.  Denim + Sequins

Balance is key here, so pairing your sequin top with a pair of light wash jeans is a great way to dress down the sequin look.  You can also wear a jacket or blazer over your sequin top, just letting the sequins peep out.  Add some black boots or strappy heels and you’re ready to go.

2.  Sequin Shorts

3. Layer It

If you also impulse bought a sequin dress at some point in your life and now struggle to find opportunities to wear it, this ones for you. Layering a sequin slip dress over a turtleneck is a perfect way to keep it casual, and it will keep you warm!

4.  Graphic Tee

Wear any type of sequin bottoms with a graphic tee for an edgy, glam look! Add a denim jacket to make it more casual.

5.  Stick to Accessories

If you’re going for a more subtle look, adding a sequin bag or shoes to a casual outfit is a great way to stand out.  It’s also the perfect way to add a pop of color!
