It’s the time of year when your friends are dropping like flies and your classes are almost empty because everyone is sick! Especially in college, germs can spread like wildfire so it’s important to stay protected! Here are some tips to combat sickness this season.

1. Take Emergen-C

Emergen-C is my secret weapon when it comes to cold and flu season! The original Emergen-C is filled with essential nutrients like 7 different B-vitamins that enhance energy without any caffeine and of course, the star of the show, Vitamin C! This stuff tastes so good and since it come in packets, it’s easy to take and drink on the go. I usually take this when I feel myself becoming a little run-down, with the potential of a cold coming on, and it gives me that boost I need!

2. Clean your dorm/apartment often!

Although you may think you can get the most sick while on campus around so many people, it’s super easy to get sick at home too! We don’t realize how many germs fester in our tiny dorms or apartments. So spend an hour or two vacuuming and wiping down surfaces with anti-bacterial wipes to stop those germs!

3. Get enough sleep

If you’re a college student, you know the struggle of staying up late studying or finishing a project, and having to wake up early the next morning for class. Getting enough sleep may not be on the top of your priority list, but it should be! Young people need more sleep than older people and getting enough rest will help you feel less run-down and burnt out, thus lessening your chances of getting sick.
