Getting In The Holiday Spirit Without Breaking The Bank: NYC Edition

Looking for things to do this holiday season without much spending? Below is a list of holiday-themed sights and attractions to check out in New York City that cost little-to-no money. With all the excitement and magic in the NY air, this will automatically put you in the Holiday spirit!

1. The Museum of Modern Art: free from 4 to 8 p.m. on Fridays.

2. “Winter Jam”: held Jan 26, 2020 in Central Park.

4. World Trade Center’s Holiday Market at the Oculus: perfect for a cold day when you want to stay inside.

5. Union Square Holiday Market: home to many NYC holiday treats and traditions.

6. Columbus Circle Market: also has a large Christmas tree worth seeing.

7. Grand Army Plaza: located in Manhattan, it has nightly lightings of a 32 foot tall menorah, billed as “the world’s largest menorah”.

9. The Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree: even if you can’t make the lighting, the tree and plaza itself are worth a visit.

10. Holiday Window Displays: check out Bergdorf Goodman and Macy’s Herald Square, to name a few.

11. The Empire State Building: tower lights twinkle for all of Manhattan to see.
