A beginners guide to styling Crocs

By Neshama Rudnitzky

My first memory of wearing Crocs dates back to circa 2009. Oh to be five years old, playing with friends in the summer heat. Going to water parks, playing on the slip and slide, or going to the local ice cream store. Crocs were the ideal shoes.

Many people grew out of their childhood Crocs wearing “phase” by age ten, but not I. I stayed loyal to my Crocs for a few more years, no matter the season, the weather, or occasion. In the snow, the rain, or a long hike, Crocs were my shoe of choice.

As time went on, and my childhood years faded away, Crocs became a constant in my life. Although nowadays I keep my Croc wearing to the summer and other appropriate occasions.

To de-stigmatize Croc wearing, here is a beginners guide to styling Crocs:

The Beach Goer

The simplest way to wear your Crocs is at the beach. They can be worn just as is. No need to dress them up or down.

The casual stroll

My favorite way to style my Crocs is out and about on a casual stroll. Going grocery shopping? Walking the Dog? Throw on a pair of Crocs. They are comfortable and add an eclectic touch to your outfit.

Crocs are very versatile shoes. You can wear them on the street or in your house. It’s a matter of personal preference. I have a pair of Crocs reserved for indoors and a pair reserved for outdoors. The choice is entirely up to you.
