Break is coming up for many students, and it’s that time of year where we sit in bed all day and think deeply about our lives. Instead of doing that, why don’t we just sit in bed and watch TV all day?
During my free time as a college student, I try to catch up on TV shows or movies that I’ve heard good reviews about. Now, it’s time for me to share my top three favorite shows I watched this year!
- The White Lotus
Season 2 of The White Lotus is now available on HBO. If you haven’t watched the first season, now is the time to start. While the first season takes place in Hawaii, the second season takes place in Sicily. A whole new cast and some returning faces take on the resort in Italy. Secrets, impulses, and inner desires are all revealed in a span of one week. People aren’t who they seem to be and everything comes out in the end. Spend your break learning the truth about these characters and figure out which important character from the resort dies.
2. Wednesday
Are you an Addams Family fan? Then, this is the show to watch. Jenna Ortega does a spectacular job bringing her skills to portray Wednesday Addams. She is sent to Nevermore Academy after an incident occurs at her old school. The town of Jericho is filled with mystery and now there’s a serial killer on the loose. Eager to find out who is killing “innocent” people, she goes on a journey of forging and ruining relationships, friendships, and figuring out secrets about herself and her family she didn’t know before. Maybe the killer is someone she knows or someone completely unexpected. Watch the show this winter break to go on this hunt with the one and only Wednesday Addams.
3. The Sex Lives of College Girls
Want to watch something funny and relatable? The Sex Lives of College Girls is definitely one to see. Four girls entering their first year at New England’s Essex College find themselves as roommates. Each have a different personality and a different story to their character. The show is about learning and feeling comfortable with your sexuality, mental health issues, and controversial topics while adding a twist to each of their stories as freshmen girls in college. Friendships and “relationships” are a guarantee of one’s college experience. Watch how these girls identify themselves through their lives at university even if it means feelings are going to get hurt. Both seasons are available on HBO.
