Music is one of the most unifying things for people all over the world. 2024 was an amazing year for music, with albums such as Brat, Hit Me Hard and Soft, and Chromakopia released. In the first few months of the new year, I have noticed a seamless transition into more great music. With that being said, I will be sharing my favorites!Â

My Top Album Releases of the Year, Thusfar:Â
#1 DeBĂ TiRAR MáS FOToS – Bad Bunny
Released January 5, 2025
As a long-time fan of Bad Bunny, I was naturally very excited for this album release. I, however, was not expecting to like it as much as I did. Out of all of his previous releases, this one is something else. I find it almost impossible to formulate words on how needed this album release was, more now than ever. It is such a celebration to all those that come from Latin roots, yet everyone is joining us to celebrate as well. It is a reminder to be proud of our culture and where we come from, while sending a very direct message for those that need a reminder. With so many releases still to come in the next few months, I can confidently say that this will be my favorite release of the year.

#2 Open Wide – Inhaler
Released February 7, 2025
Inhaler is one of my all time favorite bands, if you’ve never given them a listen – PLEASE DO! Their previous albums are constantly on repeat for me so I was extremely excited to add a few more songs to the mix. Every single song was a hit! I found this album to be very different from all of their other releases and I loved that. My personal favorite off the album is The Charms because of how unique the instrumentation of it is. One of the most notable things about Inhaler is that they truly make music to be performed live and on stage. I was able to imagine all of these new tracks performed in concert and it made me beyond excited for the reality of that.

#3 Kansas Anymore (The Longest Goodbye) – Role Model
Released February 14, 2025
This was my favorite release of 2024, so I had extremely high expectations for the deluxe. After he teased it for so long, I was so excited to finally get to play the tracks fully. This album has been such a huge change for someone who has been a fan of Tucker’s over the years. His first album was completely different and I am fascinated by how versatile and adaptive he has been in the process. I think the title track, The Longest Goodbye, was exactly what everyone was looking for and wanted as a closing track. This deluxe is perfection.Â

With the year just starting, there are still so many albums to be released. I am looking forward to a few, but three in particular would be the projects from Wallows, DJO, and Lana Del Rey.

The Right Person Will Stay – Lana Del Rey (May 21)
