Passion: I have a passion for a number of things, just naming some off the top of my head; any and all art forms, family, traveling, food and creating.
Favorite Photograph: I’m really not good with favorites so when it comes to photographs that I’ve taken singling one out is a troublesome task. Photography is about timing and is an art of observation. Each photograph taken is an archival of a moment in time, some have heavy sentimental value to me and some hold no merit at all. There was a moment in time over the summer where I had the privilege of going back to my prep school in Jamaica. During my visit, a wave of nostalgia swept over me as I entered the newly renovated buliding. There were so many improvements and so many things that stayed the same. I was allowed to photograph the ground and students freely and was immediately drawn to the first graders. At first, they were shy but as I conversed with them, they became more comfortable and they opened up like flowers. There were three little girls that seemed to take a special liking to me and wanted to take extra photographs. One of the girls asked to wear my sunglasses and I put them on her face, instantly we all smiled and laughed because they were entirely too big for her face. As they giggled I captured the moment. As I reviewed the picture with them they snickered at how they all looked and I could not stop smiling. That photo made me reminisce on my time there as a child and the certain innocence that we all had at that tender age.
