Favourite song?

“‘Best of you’ by the Foo Fighters because I saw them play at Wembley stadium and it was such a crazy moment. The lyrics just really hit me, it just means a lot to me. When I was there, I could feel the emotion coming from the band, such an electric moment… And also ‘Layla’ by Eric Clapton – it’s the ultimate guitar song, such an awesome track”

Favourite movie?

School of rock “I can sit there and quote the whole school of rock film”

Favourite Quotation?

“It’s a really cheesy one, it’s from my uncle and he says ‘to be competitive is to love the battle more than the victory’”

TV show?

“It was top gear, but now that it’s not on TV it’s a battle between Lie to me and Supervet”

What is your favourite thing about Falmouth?

“It’s near the coast and you’re so close to lots of beaches.  Also it’s just a massive family down here, everyone knows everyone and it’s just really happy all the time”

Do you have any interesting fresher’s stories?

“I came back from a party and in the hall way in our flat I decided to run up and kick a football, and being really drunk, instead of kicking it I stood with both the feet on top of the ball and completely flew sideways, my face hit the floor it sounded like a smack of thunder. I dropped spectacularly in front of all my flatmates and their friends; I laid their holding in tears of embarrassment and pain”

What do you like to do in your spare time?

“play drums really loudly to annoy the dentist next door for waking me up early every morning, I like to drive to beaches with friends for a drink, and I like to cook. I’m also in two band at the moment, the dustbowl children and the other one is el toreador.”

Do you consider yourself a good cook?

“Yeah, I can make a mean stir fry – I’m a chef in progress”

How would your bandmates best describe you?

“Loud, short tempered –but only when we get things organised and people don’t stick to it – and enthusiastic”

So, what are your guilty pleasures?

“A cheeky chicken pasty from the shop, I eat too many of those, and rock star energy drinks, I drink those like water! Smart shoes, I am a sucker for a pair of smart shoes. 90s and early 00s club classics – those brings back childhood memories –it’s just the best music!”

Do you have a favourite pick up line, and have you ever, successfully, used it before?

“Well my housemate Peter Wilcock – ‘the king of pick-up lines’ – taught me this brilliant line:

*Me* excuse me you’ve dropped something

*Girl* what?

*Me* your standards, hi I’m George.’

I’ve never use them but I’d go to him for advice.”

If you had a superpower, what would it be?

“I think my ultimate one would be able to fly, because I love the idea of flying, I think it’s awesome.”

What’s the most romantic thing you’ve ever done?

“I cooked a girl dinner once, had a bazillion candles everywhere, had the table all done up with fancy cutlery. Jazz music playing in the background, cheeky Spotify, I had to get the premium trial so the adverts wouldn’t interrupt the meal.

What is a surprising fact about you?

“I’m a massive cat lover; absolutely love my cat, Boots”

What is your opinion on girls that make the first move?

“I think that’s actually something that guys like. I think that girls have this idea that guys have to initiate talking, but we get nervous too. But personally I’m all up for making the first move”

Falmouth girls are the best because…

They are super good looking.

QT’s TOTD (Tip of the day):

“Always give compliments to people even if what they’ve done isn’t very good, because they put their heart and souls into something and they deserve praise”
