As the weather starts to get colder, it can get more difficult to think of fun and creative activities for you and your significant other to do together. Here are 5 great winter date ideas to try without spending too much money!

1.Watch Christmas Movies!

There’s nothing better than curling up by the fire with your favorite person to watch some of your favorite Christmas movies. Pour some hot cocoa and throw on your fuzziest pjs!

2.Decorate Gingerbread Houses!

Here’s a fun date idea you can make competitive! Get supplies to build and decorate gingerbread houses and see which one of you can make the best one!

3.Drive Around to See Christmas Lights!

It is always so crazy to see the extravagant decorations some families put up around the holidays! It could be such a nice date to drive around and look at them in all different neighborhoods.

4.Go Ice Skating

If there is a rink nearby, you and your significant other should definitely escape and go ice skating one day! It doesn’t matter if you’re good or bad, it’s a perfect opportunity to hold hands and spend time with each other! Maybe go the extra mile and build your own little rink in the yard!

5.Christmas Cookies!

Spend the day baking together! There are so many options when it comes to Christmas cookies. Make as many as you can and share them with friends and family! Some ideas are sugar cookies, chocolate chip, peanut butter, gingerbread, etc. Turn on some holiday music while you’re at it!

With COVID-19 keeping us away from big crowds and venues, we have to improvise and do a lot more at home or around fewer people. “Dates” don’t have to mean going out somewhere and paying for food or entry fees!  Utilize these great & easy ways you and your boyfriend/girlfriend can spend quality time together at home! HCXO!
