The 70’s are back in full swing this fall, and so is a fall staple—the turtleneck. Coming in many forms, from mock neck crop tops to full and comfy cowl necks, and the traditional fitted turtleneck, there’s one out there for everyone. Whether you like it or not, the turtleneck comeback is real, and here’s why we’re obsessed with it.

Turtleneck Hair

Perfect for that “rat nest chic” hair you get after a late Thursday night. Simply tuck away the end of your hair into your turtleneck and leave some front pieces out for a chic, effortless look. You’ll be that try hard in your 8 am, but in reality you’re just rocking your best hangover hair.

Hide From the World

We all have those “nobody talk to me” days; these are the times when the turtleneck will be your best friend. Just roll that baby up as high as you want and people will get the hint. Add sunglasses for an extra touch.

Your Face Becomes Art

If you’re not using the turtleneck to hide from the world, than it can be used to really make your face stand out. When you spend 45 minutes contouring your face and blending the perfect smoky eye, you want to make it known. Slip on a turtleneck and your face is instantly framed like a Michelangelo sculpture.

The Turtleneck Selfie

Speaking of art, nothing says artsy like a turtleneck selfie. There is something mysterious and cool about showing off your trendy sweater. And lets not forget the caption choices are endless. Turtle emoji? #turtlenelfie? Get creative ladies and be sure to show off your cozy game on Insta this fall.
