It is a system of support for women in any stage of their skin journey from acne, possible treatments, and simply having blemishes that aren’t clearing up. The community does not want to encourage women to seek treatment if they do not want to or cannot. It just wants to acknowledge all aspects of skin care and acne.

Chrissy Teigen took to social media to post photos of her inflamed and splotchy period skin. The star of the hit show Crazy Ex-Girlfriend Rachel Bloom also posted on social media to showcase her face with acne. She stated the blemishes were a result of hormones and stress. It is reassuring to know that stars are just like everyone else.
Everyone faces issues with acne and the pressure to appear perfect. No one should be shamed for something they cannot control. Hopefully this movement continues to grow and will be acknowledged in magazines, stores, and entertainment.
