Using Hardboiled Eggs to Blend Makeup… You Read That Right

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Fairfield chapter.

Have you ever considered using a hardboiled egg for anything other than a food source? A beauty blogger, Nadi (a.k.a. PopLuxe), has found that hardboiled eggs surprisingly serve as a good tool for applying makeup. In one of his YouTube tutorials, he tested this method by using one with the shell peeled off and found that it actually worked. He used it to blend his foundation, apply eyeshadow, and contour his face. He liked how the egg was cold and felt refreshing on his face as well. He was reminded of a SiliSponge when he used it. The only thing he did not seem to like about this innovation was the smell of an egg while applying makeup.

When I first heard about this, my immediate reaction considered how weird this method seemed to be. But, when you think about it, its very similar to a BeautyBlender or a SiliSponge-and you can get it right from your refrigerator!
