The Ultimate Summer Concert Style Guide

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Fairfield chapter.

Although the fast-approaching end of this year everyone super bummed, (seriously, where has the time gone), there is one good thing about the end of the spring semester: summer concert season is approaching.  With nice weather and good vibes on the horizon, it’s time to answer the most important question of all: what will you be wearing this summer?Maxi DressMaxi dresses are comfortable and practical.  Not only will you look great, but you’ll also feel confident and worry-free knowing there’s no need to hold your dress down when it gets windy. Maxi SkirtA maxi skirt presents the same practicality of the dress, but it gives you a lot more options for accessorizing. It’s perfect to pair with a cute tee, a crop top, or even a tank; the options are endless! SundressSundresses are the one thing you can find in everyone’s closet. Break out your favorite one, and pair it with a loose cardigan or denim jacket for an easy, beach-ready look. Palazzo PantsA new trend this season- palazzo pants offer a lot of comfort. With a wide-leg and loose fit, be sure to pair them with your favorite fitted top. ShortsHigh-waisted: to wear or not to wear?  If you opt for a high-waisted short, pairing them with a crop top is always a classy way to go.  If you don’t, you could wear anything from a flowy tank, to a fitted one with a cute cardigan. RomperSuper self-explanatory.  Rompers are a cute and effortless way to look your best and be comfortable no matter where the day takes you. ShoesA summer concert is not the event for your new wedges.  Definitely keep it simple with your shoes!  To keep it casual, go for Toms, Converse, or even Sperrys.  But, for a classier look, break out your Jack Rogers or your favorite pair of gladiator sandals.

SunglassesDo not forget to wear your sunnies!  It’s the perfect day to rock your favorite ray-bans, and even those new Croakies.  The sun will be out, so be prepared. BagsWhen it comes to your bag, definitely keep it simple.  Stick to an easy over-the-shoulder or cross-body bag to carry the essentials: phone, money, and whatever else you think you’ll need and will not lose!
