Top 6 Must-Have Skin Care Products To Recover From Winter

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Fairfield chapter.

Although we love the things that winter has to offer like the new year, warm fuzzy sweaters and a fresh blanket of snow, we hate what it does to our skin.

It has been proven that the combination of low humidity, harsh heat indoors, and rapid temperature changes causes our skin to do some crazy things. Another nasty part of winter skin? Being pale. Here are the best products to use if you’re trying to fight the winter skin scaries.

St. Tropez Self Tan Classic Bronzing Face Lotion ($30)

This lotion will give you a natural looking tan without irritating your skin or smelling like self-tanner. It also shows results after one use, which is a total score. (There’s also St. Tropez available for the whole body!)

Aquaphor  ($14.99)

If you have patches of dry skin use a dab of Aquaphor on them before you go to bed every night. You’ll notice a difference by the next day.

Kiehl’s Ultra Face Cleanser ($19.50)

This face wash leaves your skin fresh and clean without feeling tight and dry. The best part about this is it works for all skin types, so you can use it in the summer too!

BareMinerals Bare Haven Essential Moisturizing Soft Cream ($35)

This lotion keeps even the driest of skin types hydrated and glowing. Its best feature? It doesn’t make you look oily like many other moisturizers.

Dr. Jart Water Replenishment Cotton Sheet Mask ($7.50)

This product has ingredients that cause your skin to cool and hydrate even after the mask is removed. It was even Allure’s “Best of Beauty” award winner in 2015!

First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream Intense Hydration ($30)

For the people who feel like they’ve tried everything for dry skin, this could be the answer to all of their problems. Formulated with oatmeal and shea butter, this cream goes deep into the skin, moisturizing all types of skin, even eczema.

With these products, the winter skin epidemic will have nothing on you!
