The hit series Grey’s Anatomy will be returning for a shocking 17th season. Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the production of the series 16 paused, with only four episodes remaining. Luckily, for all of Grey’s Anatomy fans, the cast and crew are back working on set to make sure the esteemed series continues with its extraordinary run.

The airing of season 17 will be this Thursday, November 12, on ABC. It will be quite the exciting season premiere as it will be a two-hour special which will crossover with ABC’s series Station 19.

Season 17 appears as if it will be incomparable to previous seasons of Grey’s Anatomy. Episode one of the season is titled “All Tomorrow’s Parties.” In this episode, we will see how COVID-19 has affected Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital.

We think it is great how Grey’s Anatomy producers are taking the world’s current circumstances and making it into a plotline for their upcoming season. This most likely will draw more viewers into this season, as it will be very interesting to see how the producers incorporated this global pandemic into the series.

This upcoming season of Grey’s will not be picking up right where it left off in the last season. While the last four episodes of season 16 were not able to air, the cast and crew of the series were able to incorporate some important aspects left out from last season in this season’s premiere. We think this was good thinking on the producers’ part, as they are still allowing their viewers and fans to have a glimpse of what would have happened in season 16 in season 17.

It will be very exciting to view this season’s premiere this upcoming Thursday. Grey’s Anatomy has never failed to disappoint, so we will look forward to seeing what they have in store for their viewers this season.
