All across social media, images of Sofia Richie and Elliot Grainge’s picturesque wedding in the South of France are being shared. On April 22nd, 2023, Richie and Grainge got married at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc, a famously luxurious resort set on the French Riveria. The hotel is so famed that the author F. Scott Fitzgerald included an ode to it in his final novel, Tender is The Night.
Richie is a model, social media influencer, and designer. Her career began at the young age of 14 when she was featured in Elle Magazine and later in a campaign for Teen Vogue. Grainge is a music executive who co-founded the record label 10k Projects. Richie and Granige opted to keep their relationship relatively private on social media, with rumors of their relationship first emerging when they were seen in Beverly Hills together in 2021. The couple shared a few public posts together before announcing their engagement in April of 2022.
Richie was dressed in custom Chanel gowns all weekend, each more luxuriously timeless than the last. Grainge wore Ralph Lauren and Tom Ford throughout the weekend. The wedding was accompanied by a star-studded guest list which included Paris Hilton, Cameron Diaz, and of course, Richie’s famous family. Considering the musical lineage in the couple’s family, it is no wonder that they celebrated with stellar performances. Singer-songwriter Stephen Sanchez performed Richie’s favorite song, “Until I Found You,” while she was walking down the aisle as a surprise gift from Grainge. Lionel, Richie’s father, sang “Hello” and “Stuck on You” during the after-party, two of his daughter’s favorite songs. In addition, the rock band Good Charlotte reunited after not performing in almost five years during the after-party, singing one of their most famous songs, “Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous,” which is just ironically perfect for this nuptial. All in all, the wedding was elegant and evoked a fairytale feeling that has got everyone hooked.
