Starbucks is celebrating Veteran’s Day to the max!

Other than just giving a free tall cup of coffee to Veterans and their spouses on November 11, they are also giving free college tuition!

According to Fortune, Starbucks announced on Monday that employees that are current or former members of U.S. Armed Forces will be given access to free college tuition benefit that they can extend to a spouse or child.

The company’s “College Achievement Plan”, which already fully reimburses employees who earn a Bachelor’s Degree from Arizona State University’s online offering. According to Fortune, since this plan was introduced in June 2014, more than 400,000 employees have taken full advantage of the program.

CEO Howard Schultz’s mindset is quite honorable and beyond patriotic. He believes that the U.S. has an obligation to honor and thank veterans and their families for all that they have done for the country. But actions speak louder than words and therefore he has chosen to act and personally do something to help them.

Starbucks also announced that they are more than half way to their goal of hiring 10,000 military veterans and spouses by 2018. Just adding to the patriotic and philanthropic nature of Starbucks. This makes me feel a lot better about splurging on my coffee at Starbucks and this message they are sending about Veteran’s Day is an exemplary one for sure.

So spread the love and thank a Veteran, especially on Veteran’s Day, November 11, 2015.

God Bless America!
