The Fairfield University Equestrian Team (FUET) will be facing off against Central Connecticut State and Trinity in a very intense weekend double header. FUET, founded in 1992, consists of riders of various skill levels. Coach Naomi Gauruder has experience in many different types of riding such as jumping and dressage. FUET practices and competes off-campus, with a few shows versus close by Sacred Heart.
FUET President Madeleine Davis ‘16 is very optimistic about the team including this weekend’s doubleheader.
“After a later than normal start to the season we’re really excited to be in full swing after our double header this weekend,” Davis said.
“Our team has really stepped up this year; we have a great group of new members who have done an incredible job the past month of getting the hang of things. We’re definitely excited for the year ahead,” Davis said.
