Splurge-Worthy Eyeshadow Palettes

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Fairfield chapter.

Let’s face it ladies, we’re all addicted to eyeshadow palettes and they’re definitely our BFF when we want to add something extra to our everyday makeup look. They are an endless array of colors that not only brighten up our eyes, but our entire day. Since mornings at Stag country are crazy busy, us collegiettes are always on the lookout for makeup products that fulfill the all-in-one package. Efficiency is key, but we can’t sacrifice quality either. And of course it’s even better if highlighting and contouring can be accomplished. Here are our top picks for the best eyeshadow palettes in the game!

1. Lorac PRO

Health and beauty blogger Christina Rice cannot stop raving about this palette. Matte, shimmer, neutral, transition colors, you name it—it’s all there. What more could a collegiette need! So many day-to-night looks can be created and bonus – the pigmentation is amazing. Blending shades actually creates a flawless finish. A total of 16 eyeshadows are compatible with absolutely every skin tone. The price is pretty hard to beat at $44, so you’ll definitely be getting a huge bang for your buck.

2.  Urban Decay Naked

The Urban Decay Naked Palette is a fan favorite and my personal go-to. All 12 shadows in this palette are neutral, so you really can’t go wrong with any color. Virgin is the lightest shade and the one I find myself using most often. It’s also an unbeatable highlighter. Truly a solid, staple palette filled with golden neutrals that will never let you down. Sold at Sephora for $54, it’s an incredible steal!

3. Too-Faced Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar

It’s true, this palette really does smell like chocolate and it’s oh so good. The cuteness level continues with it’s packaging that resembles a chocolate bar. Pigmentation and blendability is also incredible. For all you gals who prefer cooler tones rather than warm, this palette will exceed your expectations. Creating a natural look will be effortless. $49 is all you have to spend for numerous shades that you’ll use over and over again.

4.) Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance

This palette has been raved about by beauty bloggers everywhere. There are 14 different shades,   all favoring warmer tones with burnt reds and smokey neutrals. The palette is a definite winner in all three categories of longevity, blendability, and pigmentation. Mixtures of matte, shimmery, and metallic shades are perfect for any look. A total of $42 means only $3 an eyeshadow. Your bank account is already thanking you!
