Soxxy, a local ~female owned~ accessories business based in Westport, CT is giving back this school year by launching a back to school sweepstakes offering 24 pairs of stylish socks, an XO tote, and notebook to winners (package valued at $450) who follow and like @SoxxySocks on Instagram and/or Facebook. For every like and follow, Soxxy will donate $1 to She’s the First. Founder Sarah Stabile created Soxxy’s collection of performance-fashion socks out of her frustration for socks that slipped down to her ankles. She grabbed her glue gun and began drawing X’s and O’s on the inside top band and developed a prototype that featured cute, stylish socks with an XO non-slip grip made of silicone. Soxxy knee and thigh-highs literally hug and kiss your legs all day long. Bye bye slouching socks, hello Soxxy!
Stabile’s success is attributed to her outstanding public school education and support from female mentors who taught her to never give up, but always give back.
She’s the First is a nonprofit organization that provides scholarships to girls in developing countries, such as Ethiopia, India, Nepal and Sierra Leone, to name a few. Their primary goal is to create first-generation graduates and our next generation of global leaders by giving girls the opportunity to complete high school and go onto college. Fairfield University’s She’s the First Chapter President, Kelley Ekert, could not be more thrilled with Soxxy’s support.
