Olivia Jade’s life went from living the dream to a nightmare very quickly when the ~tea~ spilt that her parents had spent $500,000 in bribes to get her and her sister into USC. We thought this was bad, but it just keeps getting worse. Now, Olivia Jade is faced with the possibility of having to testifying against her own parents in court.
Her mother, Lori Loughlin, best known as Aunt Becky from Full House, and father Mossimo Giannulli, have decided to plead not guilty against the accusations made about them for scamming their daughters into college. Olivia and her sister, Bella, claim that they were aware that their parents were speaking to someone that could get them into USC. However, they thought their parents were just donating money for crew team scholarships, not having them designated as recruits to the actual team itself as their way in.
Why Loughlin and Giannulli didn’t just donate the $500,000 rather than use it as a bribe is still a mystery to us. They seem to be quite rattled by the accusations brought against them, and Loughlin has expressed her concern of microscope she will be under during the trial. Literally every aspect of her personal life will come out during the trial due to the widespread interest in the case caused by her family’s fame. Evidently Olivia is not happy with her parents. She’s already so mad at them and having to testify against them seems to be the icing on the cake.
Life is quickly spiraling downhill for Olivia and Bella. Olivia has disabled comments on her Instagram account, while Bella has deactivated her account all together. Beauty guru Olivia has also lost many of her sponsorships, including those with TRESemme and Sephora. Neither of the sisters will be returning to USC.
The most recent development in the accusations was the addition of the accusation of conspiring to commit fraud and money laundering, which builds on the numerous accusations that were already brought against Loughlin and Giannulli. Loughlin is hoping for a simple slap on the wrist, but it really is taking an emotional toll on the whole family.
