Whether you catch him on the volleyball court or see him grabbing grub in the stag, this week’s campus cutie loves his first year of college and is looking forward to crossing more off of his Fairfield bucket list.
Name: Hayden SmithYear: 2018Major: CommunicationsHometown: Norfolk, Massachusetts
Her Campus: Okay, starting off with basic questions, how are you involved on campus?Hayden Smith: I’m on club volleyball. It’s a lot of fun it helped me meet upperclassmen like Robbie (club volleyball captain). He wanted me to mention him so I’ll give me a shout out. laughsHC: Favorite movie?HS: Stepbrothers. Well, anything with Will Ferrell. The first time I saw Elf I laughed hysterically.HC: What about favorite chick flick?HS: Definitely Bridesmaids.
HC: What do you love about Fairfield so far?HS: Meeting new people. I’ve mad a lot of great friends here so far.
HC: Favorite spot on campus?HS: The Stag…between one and four for the meal plan swipe.HC: You don’t mind smelling like the Stag after?HS: Smell like the Stag? Really? No way…even just cutting through? I don’t know I guess I’ve never noticed laughs. The stag is still really good.
HC: Are there any other clubs or organizations you want to join on campus?HS: I want to get involved with Stags TV. I think it would be really cool to see how that stuff works. I’ve seen the syllabus and it’s so funny. I can see myself getting into film.
HC: Dream job?HS: I don’t know. I’m still figuring that out. I would love to do something involving the NHL; I’m a huge Bruins fan. I love hockey and used to play, but I got too many concussions which is why I picked up volleyball in high school.
HC: So I have to ask, what do you look for in a girl?HS: Hmm, someone who gets my sense of humor and also who has a sense of humor.
HC: What is one thing you have to cross off your bucket list by the time you graduate?HS: I don’t want to say ride the Stag, that’s too generic –HC: How have you not done that?HS: laughs I haven’t done it! I have to do that but, I definitely want to get a beach house with my friends my senior year.
