It has just been announced by Forbes magazine that Kylie Jenner is about to become the youngest-ever self-made billionaire, at only 21 years old. Our girl Kylie turns 21 on Aug. 10, so she ’s likely to hit this huge milestone then.
Forbes estimated Kylie Cosmetics worth at $900 million, and she owns it all. It’s crazy to think that 20-year-old Kyle built a $900 million empire in less than 3 years. Jenner’s fortune far surpasses her older sister’s, but especially Kim K, who is worth $350 mil. The key to the company’s growth has been her social media platforms. “Social media is an amazing platform,” Jenner told the magazine. “I have such easy access to my fans and my customers.”
Critics have questioned Forbes on how they define “self-made” billionaire. They pointed out that her family, after all, is rich and famous, and that her mom, Kris Jenner, helped build her business. Forbes says as long as she didn’t inherit a business or money, she’s labeled self-made!
