If you happen to be one of the many college kids out there who are obsessed with Netflix and refresh the “New Arrivals” page as often as your Twitter feed, then you’re in luck this March! Not only are a number of excellent movies coming out on the site, but new seasons have also been added for your marathon binging to begin (or continue). Whether you’re looking for an intense action film or a sappy, guilty pleasure rom-com, Netflix likely has it.

Movies to Be Excited About:

Dirty Dancing, the iconic film from 1987, arrives on Netflix on March 1st! The late Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey shine in this romantic drama. The film’s soundtrack itself is enough for anyone to enjoy this film. Ever wonder where the popular tune “I’ve Had The Time Of My Life” is from? Watch Dirty Dancing to find out.

If you’re into horror flicks, The Silence of the Lambs (1991) and The Blair Witch Project (1999) are also coming to Netflix this March. The Blair Witch Project tells the story of three college students who go missing after taking a trip into the woods to explore and film a documentary about a local legend, known as the Blair Witch. To put it plainly- it is absolutely horrifying. The Silence of the Lambs is about an FBI agent, Jodie Foster, who must work with an insane serial killer in order to solve a crime concerning another serial killer. Both films received stellar reviews and were immensely successful in the box office, but it takes real guts to get through these films in their entirety.

If you’re into documentaries or simply seen one because you wanted to see what was up with all the fuss about Blackfish and didn’t hate it, then you need to check out Inside: Chipotle. Yes- this documentary is really a thing and has been available since late January, but if you haven’t seen it yet, you are seriously missing out. Spend 21 minutes to learn the story of how what started as a “modest investment” grew into a billion dollar franchise. Chipotle’s remarkable rise to fame is surprisingly a very interesting documentary, and it will keep your attention throughout. This documentary will also make you appreciate your quesadillas and burrito bowls that much more.

This biographical film stars the late, the great Phillip Seymour Hoffman. Hoffman delivers a fantastic performance as author Truman Capote. The film covers the time in Capote’s life that he wrote the famous novel, In Cold Blood. Dubbed by some critics as Hoffman’s most riveting performance, I would be remiss to not mention this great film. Capote hits Netflix March 1st.

Tom Cruise fans, rejoice! Vanilla Sky hits Netflix March 1. This science fiction thriller has a star-studded cast including Cameron Diaz, Tom Cruise, Penelope Cruz, Kurt Russell, and Jason Lee. If you’re into mystery and sci-fi, check this out.

The United States of Leland (2003) arrives on Netflix this March. This Kevin Spacey produced film was definitely one of Ryan Gosling’s lesser-known roles, but he still manages to steal the show in this film about mental illness, murder and depression. It sounds incredibly sad but Ryan Gosling is in it so… definitely worth the hour and forty minutes.

Television Shows That You NEED To Marathon:

You know those days when you feel the sudden urge to start a new Netflix series, but you don’t know what you’re up for? You’ve watched the Gossip Girl series so many times that you need a break and you’ve finally realized how embarrassing your One Tree Hill obsession is. It’s time to expand your horizons. Here are a few suggestions:

Okay, yes Sons of Anarchy isn’t new, but if you’re not familiar with this it then you’re missing out in a major way. I’m not ashamed to say that Charlie Hunnam is probably one of the main reasons I’ve stuck with this show for so long. Charlie’s looks aside, this action-packed drama is about a motorcycle gang living in California and their daily life, which is nothing short of wild. It has a ton of motorcycle gang violence, drugs, and guns, but its central focus is the importance of family and loved ones. Check out the first five seasons on Netflix.

With the second season of The Following premiering on Monday, March 3, 2014, what better way to prepare than catch up on the first season on Netflix? This intense psychological thriller will have you clicking the next episode button instantly.

If you haven’t seen The League, next snow day you need to marathon as much of the four seasons on Netflix as you can. You will collapse into fits of uncontrollable laughter from this show about adults battling it out in a fantasy football league. Note: for mature audiences.

What better way to celebrate 24 returning to Fox on May 5th, than watching the eight seasons of 24 already on Netflix? If you didn’t watch when it was on air, there is still time to catch up before the highly anticipated return of Jack Bauer!

New episodes of House of Cards have been added to Netflix this March! This political drama really surprised me, and it’s definitely worth giving it a shot! If you love Scandal, you should check out House of Cards. Even though nothing can beat President Fitzgerald Grant this Netflix Original comes pretty close…
