Garage Magazine Features Interactive Issue

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Fairfield chapter.

Although Garage Magazine has  only published eight issues, it is truly pushing the limits by providing new and innovative content that has everyone talking. Garage Magazine is described as a “biannual print publication delivering collaborative projects across contemporary art and fashion” (Forbes). Their newest endeavor is a groundbreaking “interactive” issue, featuring five new covers where subscribers will only be able to see and hear the content by downloading the Garage Magazine App through the Apple App Store.

Garage’s collaboration with Beats by Dr. Dre, Pat McGrath, Chaos Fashion and The Mill has generated a lot of publicity due to the stars involved. The faces of Kendall Jenner, Cara Delevingne, Binx Walton, Lara Stone and Joan Smalls were shot with Beats by Dr. Dre Royals Color Collection headphones. The concept progressed from a from a simple powder and lipstick beauty shoot to a full CGI animated story. The covers were photographed by Phil Poynter and edited in The Mills studios. Another cool feature is that each cover has an exclusive track produced by London based Alex Da Kid (Business of Fashion).

Don’t hesitate to go out and buy the latest issue of Garage Magazine. And while you’re at it don’t forget to buy the app from the App Store for a chance to score some exclusive content. It will be worth it, trust me.
