Foods that Undeniably Taste Better After 2 a.m.

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Fairfield chapter.

Whether it’s the weekend or a weekday, under the influence or sober, something happens when those late night hours roll around: you eat everything in sight. Even though you have no logical explanation, you can’t deny that there are some things that just taste significantly better after 2 a.m.

Onion dip

Never heard of it? It’s sour cream with a mix. Simple right? Yes. However, there’s something about late-night eating it that is anything but. I have a friend who claims she doesn’t like it, but come midnight or later, her entire hand is in the container.

Grilled cheese

Again, bread and cheese, how good can it be? AMAZING. Just don’t burn yourself making it.

McDonalds

If you can get there, you won’t regret it  (well, maybe in the morning you will) but calories don’t count at 2 in the morning, right?

Domino’s

This goes for basically all pizza. But all Fairfield U students know that Domino’s is one of those foods that after 1 or 2 a.m. becomes completely acceptable and free of judgment to order.

Easy Mac

During the day, it can be a little scary. Powder cheese that’s basically neon? No thanks. But later, that neon becomes pure gold in your mind.

Diner food

Again, be careful getting there, but diners are so much better outside of normal hours. There are few things better than 24/7 diners, probably because they have EVERYTHING. Pancakes  and cheese fries after 2 a.m., please and thank you.
