Food Find: Wild Rice

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Fairfield chapter.

Downtown Fairfield has excellent variety when it comes to dining. No matter what you’re in the mood for, you can always find a delicious option that is sure to please you. If Asian is what you’re looking for, Wild Rice is the place to go. The sushi and Pan-Asian restaurant is on Post Road and is guaranteed to keep you satisfied.

When you walk in, you immediately feel the change in atmosphere. The wood paneling and red, leather chairs will make you feel comfortable from the start. The restaurant offers regular seating, as well as countertop seating at the live sushi bar. You can see your meal being prepared in front of you by the masterful sushi chefs. The food presentation is beautifully crafted by these friendly chefs. They also offer take out if you need to eat on the run.

The menu offers many options such as dumpling appetizers, sesame chicken entrees and sushi platters. One of the best things about the restaurant however, is their lunch special. As college kids, we live on tight budgets and Wild Rice offers affordable dishes. Monday through Saturday you can order less expensive entrees and sushi roles between 11:00 am and 3:30 pm. All of the lunch specials come with either soup or salad as well, so you are sure to be full by the time the check comes.

Next time you’re craving Asian cuisine make sure to check out Wild Rice. The delicious meals, excellent prices and authentic atmosphere will make you come back for more.
