We’ve all been there, up late at night, cramming for a final the next day or finishing that research paper while mindlessly snacking to ease the pain of studying. Finals week is a stressful time for all of us, but instead of reaching for that bag of potato chips or ordering Domino’s (I’m sure you’ve already wondered if they deliver to Club Dimenna), why not fuel your body and brain with foods that will keep you going for longer?

1. Yogurt and fruit – A quick snack on the go to keep you full and energized. The yogurt’s protein will keep you feeling full, while the fruits, filled with vitamins, antioxidants, and carbs, will give you an added boost of energy.

2. Banana and Peanut Butter – An easy snack in between your study sessions! The peanut butter keeps you full while the banana gives you a boost of energy. If your allergic, almond butter is a great alternative, offering tons of nutrients to keep you studying hard!

3. Granola Bars – If you’re on the go, granola bars are always an easy snack idea! Be careful though, not all are created equal. Some can be filled with refined sugar, which will cause your energy to spike and then crash. Some of our favorites include KIND Bars, Lara Bars, and Nature Valley Granola Bars.

4. Air Popped Popcorn – Low calorie and delicious! Just pop it in the microwave for a minute or two and you have an indulgent snack to keep you snacking into the late hours of the night.

5. Carrots and Hummus – Hummus with carrots or pita chips is an easy and healthy way to snack! Hummus is not only nutritious, but its delicious and a great way to keep yourself feeling full through out your studying.

6. Almonds and Walnuts – Grab a handful of these savory snacks: the omega – 3 fatty acids will boost your mood and help your memory!

7. Coffee – A daily necessity to most college students, especially during finals! Before you reach for the added toppings and sweeteners, remember, simple is always better. Coffee naturally has no calories, so if you’re watching your weight, go for low fat milk or cream. It’ll save you from a crash later!

Finals is a stressful time, it’s important to remember to keep your diet balanced and to stay hydrated. Try these healthy and nutritious snacks for lasting energy and some serious brainfood!
