Meet the gorgeous and talented, Christina Taylor. The country singer has been taking the world by storm appearing on Radio Disney and performing with Keith Urban. Check out our CC’s exclusive interview with the star!
When did you realize that singing country music was your dream?
I realized singing was my dream at a young age, but I wrote my first country song when I was 17. It was so fun writing it and so fun to sing it and that’s when I realized that Country music was the one for me, and I never looked back!
Who are your role models and inspirations?
Some of my role models and inspirations are Eric Church, Adele and P!nk. They are all so raw and real and I strive to always be that way in not only my music career, but my personal life as well.
Where did the inspiration come from for your single “American Dreamin’?”
There’s a lot that’s gone on in America the last few years and sometimes it can seem like we’ve never been more divided. “American Dreamin” is a song about coming together and realizing that we live in the best country in the world. Everyone has an American Dream and we have to work hard everyday to make it come true!
What has been the most difficult challenge you have faced so far in your career?
As a female independent artist it can be difficult getting your music played on certain music platforms. There needs to be more people advocating for female artist in the music world, and I’m so thankful that along the way I’ve picked up some amazing supporters.
What is the most rewarding part about performing?
The most rewarding part of performing is the connections you make on stage with the audience. You can really feel when they connect and relate to the song and that is priceless.
What advice do you have for young girls on following their dreams?
My advice is to never take no for an answer. Keep working and don’t lose hope!
