Last Tuesday night, Bachelor nation was sent flying with the news that the new Bachelor would be the one and only, Peter, the pilot! Peter Weber was the third runner-up for Hannah Brown’s season of the Bachelorette. This fan-favorite bachelor is well-known for his serious pilot skills along with experience in windmills! Pilot Pete is a commercial pilot for Delta. Becoming a pilot for a major airline like ~Delta~ was a huge deal for our next Bachelor! Peter accepted this dream job in 2018, and expressed his gratitude and excitement in a heartfelt Instagram post.
Peter is 27 and is from Westlake Village, California. Believe it or not, Peter actually lives “five minutes away” from the Bachelor mansion. His house in Westlake Village has been his home since childhood and has been close to the mansion for most of his life… it’s like fate that he is the next Bachelor!
He speaks some Spanish and German! Though it is unknown how fluent Peter actually is, we were able to see some of his multilingual abilities during his hometown date on Hannah’s season! He is half German and half Cuban with the cutest parents. Who could forget the adorable German prayer the whole family chanted before they ate?
Peter’s dad and brother are also pilots. Being a pilot must run in the genes! Peter’s parents met while his father was a pilot and his mother was a flight attendant… straight out of a movie! His brother is also a pilot. He flew for United Airlines after college and now works as a Certified Flight Instructor in Camarillo, California.
Ex-girlfriend drama?!? During Season 15 of The Bachelorette, there was some ex-girlfriend drama that put Peter’s intentions of coming onto the show to question. Apparently, ex-girlfriend Calee revealed information about her 5-month relationship with the pilot that ended sourly. She claimed that he broke up with her over FaceTime and speculations have been made that he auditioned for Hannah’s season while still in his relationship. Luckily for Peter, all the ex-girlfriend drama was overshadowed by winner Jed Wyatt’s drama!
