Whether you’re heading for a crazy spring break trip in Cancun, prepping to relax on the beach with friends in Florida, or heading home for some well deserved R&R, a clean (and easy!) detox may be just what you need. Just in time for stressful midterms, a detox can help eliminate toxins from your body, relieving fatigue and revitalizing you for those late nights at DiMenna.

But, just googling detox recipes can be overwhelming and confusing. A $400 weeklong juice detox? Not exactly budget friendly. Easy and clean detoxes don’t have to cost a fortune, check out what you can make (even at Barone!)

Looking for an all-natural immunity boost? Drink a combination of juice from two limes, one orange, and one lemon and mix with 12 ounces of water. Drink this daily and it’ll help keep you healthy, plus it tastes a million times better than Emergen-C.

Or try a combination of four tablespoons of apple cider vinegar, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, the juice from one lemon, 4 tablespoons of honey, an (optional) a little cayenne pepper mixed with 12 ounces of water. This recipe makes for a full body detoxing cleanse that evens skin tone and may help you shed a few pounds!

Apple cider vinegar may not be appealing for everyone so try an even easier detox recipe. Simply mix together the juice from one lemon, add 2 tablespoons of real maple syrup and a little bit of cayenne pepper in 12 ounces of water for a skin rejuvenating detox that also claims weight loss benefits.

If you’re still hesitant about the taste of these detox waters, you’ll love this super simple watermelon mint water. In 12 ounces of water stir together half a cup of cubed watermelon and 6-8 mint leaves, let the flavors muddle for a few minutes for the ultimate refreshing detox. Not only is this delicious but the watermelon will help improve your blood circulation and flushes out toxins while the mint helps your digestive system.

A clean detox can also help clear up your skin, too. The combination of one cut kiwi and a few cut up strawberries in a 12 ounce glass of water may be just the cure your skin needs!

As with anything, always check to make sure you’re healthy enough to start a detox and determine how long or how often is appropriate for you!
