Spring is officially here and what better way to liven up the campus and celebrate the warmer weather than with IRHA’s Spring Fest.

Her Campus: What exactly is IRHA and how did you get involved?

Jason Moragas (President): IRHA is a student run organization that focuses on creating a clean, safe, and respectful, living community on campus while pursuing academic, social, and personal development. This is achieved through working with Residence life, RCC, programming numerous events, and resolving issues within the dorm buildings.

My freshman year I walked onto RCC for Regis. I was looking for something to do and some of my friends were involved. I stayed involved with RCC and eventually ended up in IRHA. This year I ran for the President position, I was actually the only one who ran, and it ended up being a unanimous vote.

HC: IRHA is known to sponsor a lot of on-campus events, Spring Fest in particular. When and where is the event being held this year?

JM: This year, Spring Fest is Saturday, April 18th, from 1:00-4:00 p.m. in the Quad.

HC: How much time and preparation is involved in putting together this on-campus event?

JM: We start planning for Spring Fest in November. It is a long progress that slowly develops and picks up during the months of February and March.

HC: What do students have to look forward to for this year’s Spring Fest?

JM: For the first time ever, Spring Fest is going to have live music! There will be three music acts and some other features to look forward to include bounce castles, a caricature artist, balloon animals, snow cones, a photo booth, cotton candy, a dunk tank, food trucks, and much more.

I can honestly say that this year’s Spring Fest is going to be our best yet. We believe that we will break our record for attendance. We have big plans, including a surprise raffle. Get ready!
