Big News From Nickelodeon

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Fairfield chapter.

ATTENTION ALL 90’s BABIES!

Do you ever sit back, click to Nickelodeon, watch “Dora The Explorer” or “SpongeBob”, and think, “I miss “The Rugrats”, and all the old shows that used to be on Nickelodeon?”

Well, sulk no more because I have the best news ever! Nickelodeon has listened to our pleas and prayers and may be bringing back some classic shows like “The Rugrats”, “Hey Arnold”, “You Can’t Do That on Television”, and “Victorious”.

You may think this is too good to be true, and you could be right. The only bad news is, Nickelodeon has not yet revealed how exactly they are going to go about bringing them back, but there is still hope on the horizon. According to the Huffington Post , Russell Hicks, President of Content and Development at the network, said, “We are looking at our library to bring back ideas, shows that were loved, in a fresh new way.” Although there is no set plan, I have confidence that Nickelodeon wouldn’t let us all nostalgia-ridden adolescents down.

Watching these shows on Nick when I was little was a huge deal, and I know for sure that it would be now also. I would settle for spinoffs, reruns, or anything really. Please Mr. Hicks, show kids nowadays what they’re missing!
