On Wednesday afternoon, Beyonce announced on her Instagram account that her and husband Jay-Z are expecting twins!
This will be the second and third child for the couple who already have a younger daughter together, Blue Ivy Carter.
According to E!News, Beyonce was five months along when she announced she was pregnant with Blue at the MTV Music Awards.
E! highlighted that back in May of 2013 Beyonce was already thinking of having more children when she had an interview with Good Morning America where she stated, “I would like more children…I think my daughter needs some company. I definitely love being big sister [to Solange].”
In the same year Beyonce released her documentary “Life Is But A Dream” where she discussed having a miscarriage “About two years ago, I was pregnant for the first time,” she said. “I flew back to New York to get my checkup — and no heartbeat.” The New York Times, beliefs Jay-Z inspiration to the song “Glory” was about this tragic event.
