This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Fairfield chapter.

Fashion’s biggest night of the year happened last night in NYC. We could not get enough of the stylish stars that stepped out to carpet at the opening of the “China: Through The Looking Glass” exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art for the 2015 Costume Institute Benefit. From Gigi Hadid to Amal Clooney, see who topped our best-dressed list.

Lorde in Calvin Klein Collection Keeping things sleek and chic, Lorde rocked this distressed Calvin Klein Collection dress and her trademark curls.

Gigi Hadid in Diane von Furstenberg

This girl can do no wrong. Last night, she donned a plunging silted DVF dress with matching heels.

Kate Hudson in Michael Kors

Kate Hudson opted for a golden detailed Michael Kors gown and looked gorgeous!

Gabrielle Union in Zac Posen

The always-beautiful Gabriel Union selected this long sleeved Zac Posen magenta dress that hugged her curves perfectly.

Kristen Wiig in Prabal Gurung

Amal Clooney in John Galliano

It is as if the salsa dancer emoji has come to life, graduate from law school, and married one of the sexiest actor.

Jennifer Lawrence in Dior Couture

We missed JLaw’s red carpet antics and she came back with a bang in this floral Dior Couture dress.

Behati Prinsloo in Tommy Hilfiger

So simple yet so chic, Behati Prinsloo sported this sexy velvet dress by Tommy Hilfiger. Also, she is making a statement: chokers are back and middle parts are in.
