When collegiettes think back to high school, the events that most of us remember are being on the field with teammates, bonding at practice, or the endless pasta parties attended before a big game. However, that is not the case for the unathletic girls of the world. Oh yes, the NARP’s high school memories were thinking of new excuses to get out of gym class, and praying for those non-run days. The struggle is real, but not being able to catch a ball isn’t the end of the world, right?
1.    Being Picked Last In Gym Class
Although this may seem like the biggest deal in the world, it isn’t. TBH I don’t even want to participate in the game anyway, nor do I care about being on your team. Can I just sit this one out?
2.    Avoiding Sports In General
“Let’s all do an intermural volleyball team with our group of friends”, said no non-athletic girl ever. Let’s just go to Chipotle, that is bonding and there is food so win, win?
3.    Trying To Understand Sports Terminology
Wait what is a drop kick and what sport does that relate too…I am so confused. Who knew football required flashcards?
No, I cannot catch a ball for my life but yes I do go to the gym everyday. Being coordinated and being active are totally different things, people.
5.    Ducking Every time You See a Ball Anywhere
Sorry, natural reflex.
6. Being Asked About The High School Sports You Participated In
I was actually on the shopping team, varsity. I even made All American “American Eagle” I don’t like to brag though.
7.    Trying to Keep Up With Your Friends During A Run
Never again. I am more of a walking type of person anyway. Maybe even a light jog but do not count on it. Side note, true friends do not abandoned friends on runs.
8.    Making Up Excuses To Get Out Of Sports Activities
I have my period. I am coming down with the flu. Honestly doing anything but athletic activity probably.
9.    Accepting Being Unathletic & Being Okay With it
I’m okay with being unathletic and so should you! Everyone has his or her strengths and weaknesses and that is perfectly okay.
