Now that Prez Ball and the FUSA fall concert have passed, it may seem like there is a two-month gap of nothing to do before finals and Winter Break. But don’t worry Stags, here are eight things you can look forward to for the rest of the semester:

1. HalloweenIf you’re new to college, or just new to Halloween, this holiday is a three-night event referred to as “Halloweekend.” Whether you’ve been planning your costume out for months or you’re going to wing it the night of Halloween, make sure you look your best before heading up to the townhouses for three nights of scary fun!2. Sweater WeatherAutumn technically starts September 21, which is ridiculous because if you try to wear a sweater, a vest, boots, or anything Fall-related at this time of the year, you’ll be drowning in sweat by the end of the day. The beginning of November brings the perfect, crisp fall sweater weather—that lasts all day.

3. Her Campus Fairfield Alex and Ani Charity EventOn November 11, the Alex and Ani store in Westport is hosting a Charity Event with Her Campus Fairfield. The quick twenty-minute drive from campus will be totally worth it when you have a pretty new bracelet in your possession—and you’ll be supporting a great cause!

4. Thanksgiving BreakPerfectly timed right between midterms and finals, Thanksgiving Break is a great time to go home and relax while spending quality time with family and friends. Thanksgiving is the best holiday, anyway; you get to eat tons of yummy food and burn it all off shopping ‘til you drop the next day on Black Friday!

5. First Snowfall on CampusMake sure to remember to bring all your snow gear back to school with you after Thanksgiving break because soon after campus will be dusted with snow for the first time. Fairfield is beautiful all the time, but the first snowfall makes it even more breathtaking. Plus, Library Hill and the hills behind Bellarmine Mansion are perfect for sledding!

6. Christmas Tree LightingDuring the first week of December the giant Christmas tree by the Chapel is illuminated in a beautiful tree-lighting ceremony. The other Christmas lights around campus are all lit at this time too, transforming campus into a winter wonderland. The sparkling lights make the freezing walks back from class or Barone at night so much more enjoyable.

7. Glee Christmas ConcertOn Friday December 5 at 8:00pm and Saturday December 6 at 2:00pm the Fairfield University Glee Club performs in their annual Christmas Concert, The Bethlehem Experience. The concert will be at the Quick Center and tickets are only $6 for students. This event is the perfect opportunity to really get in the holiday spirit and listen to everyone’s favorite Christmas songs, all while supporting our amazing Glee Club.

8. Midnight BreakfastMidnight Breakfast is an annual holiday tradition here at Fairfield. On December 8 from 10:00pm-1:00am, Barone Dining Hall is transformed into restaurant-style eating where the waiters and waitresses are university professors. What’s better than dressing up in Santa hats and screaming Mariah Carey Christmas lyrics in Barone while your professors serve you delicious breakfast food? Absolutely nothing!
