8 Stages of Getting Ready for a Night Out As Told By Lizzie McGuire

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Fairfield chapter.

As girls in college, we live for the weekends. Finally being able to get dressed up and go out with your friends is the best relief after the stressful school week. And if you’re anything like me, Lizzie McGuire helped you survive your awkward middle school days (and let’s be real, even your high school days too). And now she’s more relatable than ever, understanding what it’s like getting ready for a night out in college.

  1. You all your best friends and start to make plans. Townhouses? Beach?
  2. You sing all of your favorite ~classic jams~ while getting ready to go out.
  3. You try to pick out an outfit…
  4. But quickly realize you have nothing to wear. Even when your closet is full of clothes, every girl knows the feeling.
  5. You change your outfit because you realize you wore that last week and the last thing you need is a ‘Kate Sanders’ reminding you that you’re an outfit repeater.
  6. Finally! You find something super cute & trendy (with the help of your roommates and neighbors down the hall).
  7. After all of the outfit commotion has come to an end, you begin your hair and makeup.
  8. Lastly, you take some squad pics for Instagram. Did someone say “#flawless”?
