Finals week is upon us fellow collegiettes. This means having four or five exams, endless papers, review sessions, and more… all while trying to maintain sanity, get enough sleep, and have some sort of a social life. When we have to let some things go to get a little more sleep, here are some tips to keep yourself put together during finals week. Everyone will envy you for looking so great!
1. Concealer
Having a good concealer during finals week is key. You most likely won’t be getting the eight hours of sleep that’s recommended, which means unfortunately there will be bags under your eyes. I use, and would definitely recommend, Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Spot Concealer by Maybelline, but if you have a little more money to spend I love Fakeup Hydrating Under Eye Concealer by Benefit Cosmetics. BB cream is also a magical product during stressful times, which adds light coverage to your skin while also adding a little glow. I love Dream Fresh BB Cream by Maybelline.
2. Keep Your Face Clean and Moisturized
I know it may be tempting to just climb into bed at 3 am after studying all day and night, but take five extra minutes to take care of your skin. You’ll thank yourself later! Sticking with your normal skincare routine will help prevent acne caused from the stress you may be facing. Take your makeup off, wash your face, and moisturize. Washing your face in the morning is important too. Using cold water will help bags under your eyes shrink!
3. Face Mask
Take a study break and do a face mask. Most masks only take 15 to 20 minutes and will leave you feeling refreshed and ready to study some more. It will also keep your skin clean and acne free.
4. Dry Shampoo
Didn’t have time to wash your hair last night with that all-nighter you pulled? Have no fear because dry shampoo will be your best friend during finals. Say goodbye to greasy hair and say thank you to dry shampoo. I use Dove’s Refresh+Care Invigorating Dry Shampoo and it works like a charm. You can always resort to a sleek high bun or ponytail if dry shampoo doesn’t seem to do the trick.
5. Apply Mascara
If you don’t have time to apply a lot of makeup that’s fine, but definitely try to squeeze time in to apply mascara during your morning routine. Mascara will open your eyes and make you look awake and ready to conquer the day. My favorite is Loreal’s Voluminous Million Lashes Mascara.
6. Stay Hydrated
I know I’ll be running off of coffee for the next week and a half, but also make sure you drink plenty of water. Staying hydrated is SO important to your health and your beauty.
7. Paint Your Nails
Take another study break to paint your nails. I know I hate typing and staring at naked, unpainted nails, so it’ll give you more motivation to get your work done. You have to make sure to take care of yourself during finals week, even though there might be little time to do so.
Good luck on finals everyone!
