After a full day of classes and papers, sometimes you just need to veg out on the couch and watch an entire season of your #fav tv show… but why be this unproductive alone? Add in a social aspect to the usual binge-watching experience by roping in your roommates to watch all your favorite shows. Besides, what better way to bond than over a great show? Here are 7 suggestions:

1.The Good Place

Summary: Eleanor Shellstrop (Kristen Bell) wakes up to find that she is dead and in the afterlife. Fortunately, Eleanor has ended up in the Good Place. Unfortunately, Eleanor soon learns she’s not supposed to be there.

Why Watch: If you loved Parks and Rec and the Office, you’ll probably love this show too! This show is a heartfelt comedy with a wonderful cast and a quirky set of characters that you’re sure to fall in love with.

2.Peaky Blinders

Summary: Taking place in England after the First World War, the show centers around the ‘Peaky Blinders’ gang run by Thomas Shelby (Cillian Murphy) and Shelby’s ambitious climb to the top.

Why Watch: This show will suck you in after the very first episode, and every episode after that will have you on the edge of your seat. The 5th season will also be arriving to Netflix on October 4th so now is the perfect time to start the show. If you’re still not convinced, have I mentioned Cillian Murphy is a dreamboat?

3.Instant Hotel

Summary: Five Australian ‘Instant Hotel’ teams compete to see whose property is the best. The contestants rate each other on house, location/attractions, value for money, and good night’s sleep. Think TLC’s Four Weddings, but with AirBnBs.

Why Watch: If you love to watch HGTV this show is a must-binge! You’ll get to see and unusual lodgings all in gorgeous Australia, plus there’s the drama of the competition.

4.Jane the Virgin

Summary: Jane Villanueva has decided to remain a virgin until marriage, but when her gynecologist accidentally artificially inseminates her plans begin to change.

Why Watch: This soap opera style is the perfect show to watch on a girls-night-in. It has romance, comedy, drama, and so much more!

5.Jack Whitehall: Travels with my Father

Summary: Comedian Jack Whitehall drags his grumpy, stubborn, and traditional father, Michael, across the world. Join the Whitehall’s as they embark on adventures across Europe, Asia, and America.

Why Watch: If you need a laugh and a dose of wanderlust this show is definitely for you! Jack and Michael’s ~unique~ relationship will have you missing home and wishing you could travel away from it all at the same time.

6.Four Weddings and a Funeral

Summary: Loosely based on the 1994 movie, this show follows the lives of four American friends as they embark on journeys of love and loss.

Why Watch: Available on Hulu, this show is a perfect mix of comedy and drama. Created by Mindy Kaling and Matt Warburton, the show perfectly encapsulates the best, and the worst experiences life has to offer. Another great show with an eccentric cast of characters you’re sure to fall in love with.

7.American Horror Story: Apocalypse

Summary: Each new season of American Horror takes the viewers on a series of equally chilling storylines. The newest season (8) titled Apocalypse takes place after nuclear missiles destroy the world. Remaining survivors gather together at Outpost 3 where it’s revealed that they will be judged and only those who pass will be saved.

Why Watch: The newest season of AHS arrived to Netflix just in time for the spooky season. If you need something scary to put you in the Halloween spirit, this show is perfect for you.

Hopefully, this list provides you and your roomies with some great suggestions for your next binge-watching session. Remember it’s better to binge together!
