7 Outfits for Under $150: A Target Lookbook

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Fairfield chapter.

Trying to find fashion that fits your budget is hard. Trust us, we know ~the struggle~. But we also have an easy solution: Target! Most people don’t see Target as a clothing store, but Target has a large selection of cute women’s clothing. They even just released their two new brands: ‘A New Day’, and ‘JoyLab’. Both brands offer trendy clothes, and they have everything from blazers to sports bras.

Another great thing about Target is that it is inexpensive! To prove that you can find great fall fashions at Target and still stay on budget, I went to Target with a budget of $150. For less than $150, I got seven full outfits, and yes, ~every single piece~ is from Target!

Here’s a rundown of each of the individual pieces from the outfits:

Shoes:

  • I am obsessed with these shoes. These are from the new ‘A New Day’ collection at Target and are not only cute, but super comfortable as well! They are definitely a shoe you can walk around campus in while still looking trendy, and at only $25 they are affordable as well. If you love them as much as I do click here!

Tops:

  • As of now, all t-shirts from Target are $8, or you can get two for $14! Such a steal! This shirt is very casual, but can be easily dressed up as shown with the skirt in outfit 3.  I also love the color and think it can be a new trend for not only fall, but even the spring. Click here to buy!

  • I love the sky-blue color of the peplum shirt in outfit 1, and it’s ~so soft and comfortable~! If you’re going for a fancier look, you can add a simple statement necklace and a pair of heels. This shirt is another steal at only $15! Click here to buy!

  • The tank top (from the ‘A New Day’ collection) is another piece that you can easily take from ~class to classy~. As shown in outfits 5 and 6, you can throw on a light sweater and jeans for class, then dress it up with a skirt and heels for a night out. It will also keep you on budget at only $18! Click here to buy!

Jeans:

  • I was in desperate need of another pair of jeans and these were great! They are a good fit, comfortable and only $28! Click here if you’ve been dreaming of the perfect denim!

Skirt:

  • This corduroy skirt is beautiful! The deep blue color makes it a neutral piece, but the embroidery on the sides is eye-catching and unique. It’s also only $20! Click here to buy!

Sweater:

  • This sweater I wore in outfit 7 is also from the ‘A New Day’ collection, and is possibly the warmest, coziest thing I own! This is a great option for the colder fall and winter days. While it’s a bit more expensive than the other pieces at $30, it’s still considerably less than some other brands and it is made of quality fabric. Click here to buy and stay warm all winter!

Thanks to Target not only am I well prepared for the cool fall weather, but I also have a ready arsenal of trendy outfits. The best part it, I didn’t break the bank getting them! Head over to the Trumbull Mall, or any other Target near you this weekend for great deals and clothing steals! Happy shopping!
