6 Reasons Why We Love Sweater Weather

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Fairfield chapter.

The time is finally upon us; time to put away the sundresses and crop tops and bring out the cozy sweaters and leggings because it’s officially sweater weather. The temperatures may be dropping, but our love for sweaters still remains the same. It is the perfect time to throw on a comfy sweater along with leggings, grab a PSL, and snuggle with a book.

1. They Require Little Effort

Sweaters are perfect because they are stylish and adorable while requiring little to no effort, saving at least 10 extra minutes to sleep in. All a collegiette needs for a complete fall outfit is a sweater, leggings, and boots.

2. They’re ~Beyond~ Cozy

3. They Hide Everything

The best thing about sweaters is that they are generally flowy, so it gives us collegiettes a little wiggle room. Go for that extra piece of pumpkin pie or that cinnamon donut because lets be real, those are the best things about fall.

4. They’re Super Warm

Sweaters will always keep a collegiette warm no matter how many degrees below freezing it gets in a classroom. The days of freezing our behinds off in a cute tank are over.

5. They Go With Anything

The best part about sweater weather is that sweaters can be paired with just about anything whether it is jeans, patterned leggings, or even cute sweats. You can’t go wrong.

6. They Make You Feel Secure

It’s a simple fact that sweaters are one of the few clothing options that are least likely to have wardrobe malfunctions. No need to sweat it over a bra strap making an appearance or worrying about whether a shirt is too revealing. You are all good, girl.
